Hi all, a while ago I posted to let you all know that we were working on unabridged audio versions of the highly rated James Potter series by G. Norman Lippert, with the permission of J K Rowling.

I am pleased to announce, for those of you who don't already know, that we released the first book, James Potter and the Hall of Elders Crossing, (19 hours 10 minutes running time), yesterday, both as a free online-only audio stream (low quality), and as a high-quality paid download for blind or print-disabled listeners.

We've been shouting about it all over Facebook and Twitter, but I'm sure loads of you haven't heard the news, so I thought I'd post it here.

If you want to listen to the free version, or purchase the high-quality download which is in MP3 format at a cost of £5.00 (which covers our bandwidth, file storage and other associated costs only, you can do so at http://www.livingaudio.co.uk/jphec.

In order to access content on our site produced for blind or print-disabled listeners, you will need to signup for a completely free blind/print-disabled account, which you can do at http://livingaudio.co.uk/bpdaccess. All titles offered for download to print-disabled customers specifically, are offered for a purely nominal fee.

Once the costs of providing the material to you have been met, any money left over will go into our production pot so we can do more audio versions of titles that will otherwise probably not be produced in audio. Many self-publishing authors for example, many of who write fantastic books by the way, simply don't have the budget necessary to get their novels turned into audio for us to enjoy, and this is something Living Audio wants to change.

Lastly, some customers have mentioned that our Recapcha security is not functioning perfectly. It is necessary to download the sound as an MP3 and open the file in your media player to listen to the letters/numbers, as the built-in player does not appear to be working at the moment.

I hope you enjoy James Potter and the Hall of Elders Crossing.

Best wishes,

Matt
